We're pretty open, and tactile people and we like the little assurance of each other's proximity, as well as the little affirmation that holding hands offers. In terms of location, we don't really limit it to much ... we live in south east London, so we're just as comfortable holding hands in down town Greenwich, as we are in Central London. There are lots of times where we walk openly holding hands, but more often than not, we just keep our hands by our side (rather than swinging) and our hand-holding is quite discrete. The main hesitation I would have is where it’s clear that someone would be significantly uncomfortable about it (such as elderly people who I think seem reserved and might take issue with us holding hands) or where there are people who seem like they’re offended and aggressive (such as a couple of rough lads out on the drink).
