Four gay couples and four straight couples have announced their intention to file a joint application to the European Court of Human Rights, in a bid to overturn the twin bans on gay civil marriages and heterosexual civil partnerships in the UK. They want both institutions opened up to all couples, without discrimination based on sexual orientation. This is such an excellent and timely campaign and A Day In Hand is totally inspired by the tenacity and organisation of Outrage and Peter Tatchell who coordinated the campaign.
