Just returned from a glorious Saturday afternoon mingling with the original Gay Liberation Front. To hear them tell it...40 years of fighting for survival, these brave lads and ladies were advocating gay rights way before our much loved Harvey Milk. Watching that archive footage of GLF members calling on gays to come out, defiant in their calls for visibility and revolution, seems to be the same thing we're asking LGBT people the world over to do even today.
