We have had an influx of sshh pics from Peru, in South America. Thanks guys. Go straight to the South America page. Here's a message from some of them.
Can someone email me with a translation....info@adayinhand.com
This is what Jorge of Diario De Lima Gay had to say
"Holding hands between two men in public requires of a great dose of courage in a country like Peru. We have been grown in the belief that men "must not touch each other" . We, gay men who have managed to overcome internal homophobia feel a great relief being able to show our affection without fear, shame or guilt. In Lima there are some "safe places", gay friendly areas where you can feel safe from homophobic attacks, either verbal or physical. But, in the other hand, there are places where to hold another man's hand could become a risk of being insulted or even beaten to death. Holding hands between women is tolerated quite well in our society. That's why we have decided to embrace this campaign. The website and the Internet TV prgram we produce will try to make in Peru this silent revolution. We have heard that people in Bolivia are getting involved too."
