Norwich Pride 04 Aug 2010 09:43 On Saturday 31st July, we paid a trip to The Forum, in Norwich for Norfolks annual Pride! Again we met scores of appreciative hand holders who were overjoyed there was an organisation dedicated to this once overlooked issue. We were selling key chains and badges and our much sought-after T-shirts (all available through this website -via email info@adayinhand.com). David also participated on a panel debating labels in then LGBT community (Are Labels Just for Soup Cans?). In the debate I argued for a new catch all term to describe the widening LGBT community (as inevitably more sexual minority groups could be left out of the, in my opinion, rather clinical sounding 4 letter acronym that is LGBT). Queer seems to be the word of choice in the US, but of course that has many negative connotations here for so many of our community. Big thanks to Michelle Savage who co-organised the day. Thanks to Steve Boyce for the pics and for more pics and vids go to the official Norwich Pride website. Next, we will be at 0 comments have been posted Post a comment using the box below
