Peter Tatchell holds hands for us 18 May 2009 Three days before his arrest by riot police in Moscow, during his participation for Slavic Pride, Peter came down to the National Theatre to hold hands with David. See the full pic here
Peter said, "For any couple of any sexuality, holding hands is a natural, normal act of intimacy and affection. For same-sex couples, holding hands in public is also an act of visibility, affirmation, pride and defiance in a society where many LGBT people still face prejudice, ostracism, discrimination and even violence."
Peter is a real fighter and an inspiration. I wished him good luck in Moscow, and he confessed to me that he might not even be allowed into the country since his arrest in the infamous Moscow Pride in 2007. Peter went anyway and on Sat 16th (one day before A Day In Hand officially launched) he was arrested by authorities for participating in a LGBT Pride event in Moscow where they have outlawed any such gatherings (except if your part of a nationalist, Orthodox Christian anti-pride counter protest that is - they allow those)

Come back safely Peter. More info here
