Pink Festival

On August 21st, we paid a visit to Cambridge, UK and became part of the funky Pink Festival. In the photos, you can see David, Founder, and Elly Barnes, teacher extraordinaire, who was helping with the stalls. Tony Fenwick (co-chair of Schools OUT and LGBT History Month) also joined us to promote the respective campaigns. I am proud to stand behind the National Union of Teachers (NUT) banner. As an out gay teacher, I am totally indebted to the NUT for helping me through a very challenging and groundbreaking case against a former employer for homophobic harassment, and won...yes it can be done if you stand up for your rights, so take heart! Elly Barnes works at Stoke Newington...
