David also mentions A Day In Hand, and responds to some particularly challenging viewpoints. "After the interview, I was committed more than ever to make get A Day In Hand out there," says David. "To change cultural attitudes like this we need same-sex couples on the streets. I have spoken to the BBC about getting more positive messages out there, not polemic debates that sensational the issue of gay rights. To my mind when it comes to gay rights, there should be no debate."

Watch this space for more info on those positive messages with a special A Day In Hand late night phone-in on Sat 25th April on BBC Radio 5 Live. We make waves, radio waves!
